About
The Pork report was conceived at the corner of 10th and Shunk a few weeks back as an idea to pass time between issues of the Philadelphia Public Record. What grew from that idea was a blog so infuriating and mind-numbing, that no respectable Philadelphia area politico would be seen anywhere near it. Thankfully, not many respectable Philadelphia area politicos exist so The Pork Report has grown at an uncontrollable rate. So bear with us as we toy with some of the features that WordPress has allotted us. To be honest, The Pork Report is open to suggestions, because we have no clue what the hell we’re doing.
The Pork Report is not a “playa”
You may have noticed, we’re not real insiders. We don’t control where the pork is flowing, we just follow the scent. We’re not affiliated with any political party but would consider ourselves to be “good government.” You’re probably not going to agree with us very often, as in our very short existence we’ve had many people on both sides of the aisle call us lots of non-swine related names. It’s okay. Pigs have thick skin. Don’t they? I have no idea.
The Pork Report is not a “hater.”
The idea of the Pork Report is simple. A place to exchange ideas in a non-partisan forum where you needn’t worry about being “outed.” If you work directly for a campaign or special interest group that’s fine with us. There is no stated agenda here beyond an honest discussion. You will never be blocked from commenting on this blog because of your ideas. The ideas you propose in this blog do not have to follow you in real life if you don’t want them to. You can be honest here without feeling any pressures from the Philadelphia area’s tight-knit political scene.
